Pink House

With spring just around the corner, I'm getting an obsession with Pink House.  Florals, teddy bears, ruffles, and bows oh my!

This is one of my fave pictures floating around, I love all the kewpies emblazoned on everything!

an adorable knit vest with teddies
Those are just some things I want, haha. Unfortunately I don't think I fit into pink house at all....
These following coord photos are from re-ri.  Can I just say first of all, she has amazing, amazing, amazing, style! She is able to mix and match very natural , early lolita styles mixed in with pink house or wonderful world and lesser known indie brands. I am very inspired by her.

Funnily enough, very recently Momoiro Clover Z did a collab with Pink House:

Forgotten Fashion Idols

After so many years in this fashion, I have seen so many different trends come and go.  Along with the fashion trends, the popular models and fashion idols have changed considerably with the passing of time.  Perhaps it's because I fell in love with Lolita fashion at a time when gothic and old grandma florals were  the most popular, but even now my love of such styles and motifs has not changed.  Many of us will always remember some of the first images we saw of the fashion that made us fall in love with it and for me, many of those images still remain as an aesthetic goal.  In a time long before extremely sweet motifs ruled the lolita world, grandma florals, tartans, and simple lace motifs ruled all.  Even with the various trends constantly changing, these fashion idols ( who sadly seem forgotton by many), remain at the top of my inspiration list.

                                                                   Choconyan:
The minute I saw photos of her, I fell in love with her way of coordinating.  She had an extremely specific style, and was able to make even her casual coordinates look extremely interesting.  One of the things that I always appreciate in someone's style is being able to see their own personal style in their coordinates instead of a head to toe full set.  My love of old florals, giant gothic chunky heels, and heavier makeup than what most people do now a days, ensures that Choconyan remains as one of my biggest fashion inspirations.

   Kokusyoku Sumire:
When I first got into lolita, Kokusyoku sumire was in their prime.  They were well known, and while their music may not suit everyone's taste, I fell in love with their sound and their general aesthetic.  Once again generally stick to some form of gothic or grandma floral, their aesthetic was over the top before that became a normal thing.  So many of their looks were coordinated perfectly together, and inspired me each time I saw them.

And of course, last but certainly not least- the various old shop stop and fans of the fashion who were never afraid to experiment or just wear what made them happy.

Even though most of these looks are now considered outdated, if it's somthing you still love, then continue to wear it!  While fashion relies on trends and is constantly changing, it also often takes elements from its own history.  As long as it's something that you love and enjoy, then it's worth wearing and embracing.

Slightly Formal Introduction

As a first post, we decided it would be a good idea to do an introduction post and state (perhaps mostly for ourselves), ideas of the type of things we wish to discuss here!
I find it a bit awkward to type a formal introduction of myself, so for my own comfort I will simply list things off~

Favorite lolita style:Gothic and classic
Styles I wear:A little bit of everything honestly-  Anywhere from sweet, old school, gothic and classic.
Favorite brand:  Moi Meme Moitie and Innocent world

I hope to discuss the various lolita trends I have seen appear and disappear in the fashion.  There are so many older styles and trends that seem to be forgotten that I would love to see appear again! I also plan on discussing events, coordinates, and posting inspiration images as well as discussing several topics that involve the fashion world!  I hope you will join us in our journey to discuss the things we love most~!
